Day 66 Dtp Chest

Today’s workout will be a DTP chest workout. We only have Danielle in for today’s workout because Kai is traveling. Pay attention to the advice I give in the video about ways you can stay active even if you have a sedentary job. It’s important to keep your metabolism revving throughout the day. For many people it’s easy to fall into the routine of being inactive most the day and only moving around when they’re in the gym.

We’ll start out today’s workout with a DTP incline dumbbell chest presses. This will work the upper portion of your chest. Look at how I have Danielle lift across the full range of motion. To get the most out of these exercises you need to use the full range of motion to recruit as many muscle fibers as possible. The next move will be a DTP decline barbell press. Pay close attention to how you’re supposed to perform the decline on the lower portion of your pecs for this exercise. Start out with a heavier weight if you’re in doubt on what weight to start with and see how it feels. If it feels like too much weight, you can drop the weight and adjust accordingly. The important thing is to know that you’re giving these exercises everything you’ve got and not leaving anything in your tank.

Staying active. Even though Kai couldn’t attend today’s workout because he was traveling, I spoke with him and had him walking at the airport so that he’s moving around. Re-watch the video and listen to all the suggestions I give on ways to incorporate activity into your day even if you have a sedentary job.
