With summer right around the corner, you might be starting to think about all the delicious summer food you’ll be sinking your teeth into. Cobs of corn dripping with butter, barbecued chicken, and homemade healthy sweet potato salad may be topping your list.

Let’s not forget beverages though! Rather than indulging in alcohol, which won’t do your body good, why not consider whipping up a refreshing smoothie that will help you burn fat instead?

With the right mix of ingredients, you can fuel your body well while also keeping your cravings satisfied. As an added bonus, smoothies are a great summer treat -refreshing, cool, and full of fresh, seasonal fruit.

Here are four delicious fat burning smoothie recipes for you to try in the warmer months ahead.

Creamy Mango Smoothie

If you’re looking for a way to replace a meal on the go, this smoothie is perfect. It’ll help you burn fat while keeping your macros well-balanced, ensuring hunger is taken care of. The powerful antioxidants from the mango will help keep your body feeling its best, and the healthy fats and fiber from the avocado will stabilize your blood glucose levels. Add in the lean protein from the Greek yogurt and RE-KAGED, and you’re all set for the hours ahead.

Swapping out regular milk with unsweetened almond milk also helps to keep the calories down and limits the amount of sugar in this smoothie.

Ingredients:

¼ cup mango pieces, chopped

¼ cup avocado, mashed

½ cup plain Greek yogurt

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

1 scoop RE-KAGED Orange Kream

1 tbsp. lime juice

2-3 ice cubes

Place all the ingredients in a blender and pulse blend until the desired consistency is reached. Serve immediately.

Sweet Spinach Smoothie

Think that the only way to get your greens in is with a side salad with your meal? Not so! Now you can get a full serving of leafy greens into your day without even taking a bite. Plus, with the addition of the delicious berries in this smoothie, you’ll hardly even notice the spinach in there.

The spinach delivers a dose of iron, which will help keep energy levels up. This is a must for anyone who trains hard in the gym, especially females who are known to have low iron levels. Coupled with the high fiber, the low sugar content of the berries will keep insulin levels fairly stable while providing some sweetness.

For fats, the flax seeds bring in healthy omega-3 fatty acids, which will help to encourage greater insulin sensitivity and also help keep you as lean as possible.

To make things even better, we’ve added a little casein protein powder, which will help the entire smoothie digest slowly in the body, delivering nutrients over an extended period of time. This makes it ideal for serving up first thing the morning or before bed.

Ingredients:

2 cups unsweetened almond milk

1 cup fresh spinach leaves

½ cup fresh raspberries

¼ cup fresh blackberries

½ banana

1 tbsp. ground flaxseeds

1 scoop KASEIN vanilla protein powder

1-2 ice cubes (if desired)

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until desired consistency is reached.

Strawberry Chocolate Smoothie

Got a serious craving for chocolate but don’t want to derail your diet? Not to worry, with this smoothie you can stay on track and satisfy your cravings. The fact is, dark chocolate can be a great option for promoting total body fat loss. It’s rich in healthy fats, high in antioxidants, and actually packs in some protein as well. The trick is using dark cocoa powder rather than normal milk chocolate, which doesn’t have the same nutritional benefits.

Dark chocolate paired with fresh strawberries gives you a great tasting and nutritious combo that can’t be beat. This smoothie also contains casein protein for a slower delivery of nutrients over time that’ll also help you crush hunger instantly.

We’ve also added a small dose of Greek yogurt, which will supply you with calcium and another source of protein. Research published in the Journal of Nutrition & Intermediary Metabolism suggests that those who include dairy in their diet may lose more total body fat than those who don’t, so don’t be too quick to eliminate it. This smoothie will help you get it in.

Ingredients:

1 cup strawberries, sliced

2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder

1-2 tbsp. Stevia powder (optional, based on your taste preferences)

1 scoop KASEIN chocolate protein powder

½ cup plain low-fat Greek yogurt

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

2-3 ice cubes

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until desired consistency is reached.

Lemon Cream Pie Smoothie

Finally, if you want something really light and refreshing, this lemon cream pie smoothie recipe may become your favorite summer treat. The light taste of lemon coupled with the creaminess of cottage cheese will give you everything you could want in a smoothie. The cottage cheese will supply you with slow digesting protein, while the lemon is rich in antioxidants and will help to detoxify your body.

The banana creates a thick consistency and offers a dose of carbohydrates, making this a great option for a pre or post workout treat.

Ingredients:

½ scoop Kasein vanilla protein powder

½ cup low fat cottage cheese

1 tsp. lemon zest

Juice from 1 lemon

1 banana

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

2-3 ice cubes

Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse blend until desired consistency is reached.
