On the road with Kris Gethin: Traveling and training around the world
The past couple of months have been eventful. My experiences at the BodyPower expo in India were a mix of emotions. During my time there, I felt certain, direct, and alleviated of doubts and uncertainty, but it didn't seem to take long following the event for me to fall back into a white-knuckled rollercoaster ride of indirection, scarring and dysfunction. Sometimes I lose my way. I don't know why and I don't know how to get it back. I try to communicate, but sometimes I think it's better to shut-up until reality is close. I learn the hard way, that my vote of silence and reclusiveness only takes me back to the beginning. I doom myself into a life of wanting and unknowing. I wish I didn't think so much. I've wished hard enough to make the unthinkable my reality so now I am on the right track of relief and happiness. Its there – now I need to keep sampling the nectar until it's a permanent taste in my mouth. Professionally, nothing could be better. The work put into my next product – Hydra-Charge – has taken years, but now the time has almost come. It was set to launch by mid June, but then upon feedback and further discussion, I decided to go with a 60-serving tub over a 30 because most people, myself included, want to drink it all day. My wish list of the best retained powdered coconut water and spectrum of vitamins and antioxidants from my chosen studied fruits, herbs, spices and vegetables is the perfect health spike to be taken all day. The feedback of its taste and effectiveness has far surpassed my expectations. So, with you, the Kaged Consumer, in mind, we managed to double its size but only with a slight price increase. Although the launch has been slightly delayed, the benefits in the end will be well worth it. Following my time at BodyPower India, I had some great training sessions in Germany with some of my Bodybuilding.com Teammates: Brian Casad and Jerome Ferguson. A couple of days later I was in New Jersey filming loads of great educational content for KAGED MUSCLE ‘s soon to launch Pre, Intra and Post workout supplements. Then, I headed to the Bodybuilding.com Headquarters in Boise Idaho to conduct several motivational seminars for the staff. Before I knew it, I was in Birmingham, England filming workouts with Craig Carpuso, Dana Linn Bailey, Kai Greene, Ullises, Simeon Panda, Rob Bailey and Bradley Martyn at both Ultimate Fitness and Emporium Gym. I also hit some live workouts with my KAGED MUSCLE athlete, Marzena (AKA InkandFitness) and Dana Linn Bailey. A week later I was with my great friend, Neil Hill, in Tenby smashing out a chest session. Shortly thereafter, I'm on my way, flying direct to Spain with my fellow Welsh hobbit, Lydia Rees, to visit with Dorian Yates and Gal Yates where we all hit up Crossfit sessions and PaddleBoarding in the ocean. Always a great time with great friends. Only 2 days following my return to the UK, I flew to the US again for the Bodybuilding.com Fit Expo in Boise. We recorded some more great content for KAGED MUSCLE and finished off the weekend filming a shoulder workout with Steve Cook. I'm now on my flight back to the UK. Two days following my arrival, I will be on my way to Download Music Festival to enjoy some of my favorite bands such as Faith No More, Slipknot, L7, BodyCount, etc. A media company has contacted me to do an interview at the event. I'm curious to know what the questions will be centered around – the fitness and music industry don't usually share many similarities and I assume I am not recognized within the latter. More to come.
