Supplement Overview

Taking supplements is a must if you want to gain every edge possible to dramatically evolve your physique when you’re following a transformation program. That’s particularly true when you’re following one as intense as the 12-Week Lean Muscle Program for Men and Women that I’ve devised.

A significant aspect of this program for my clients, Kai and Danielle, was to adhere to the Kaged Muscle supplements and schedule that I recommended for them. I always say that quality supplements featuring premium, patented, organic, fermented and tested ingredients can add up to 5% to your muscle gains, performance, fat-loss, and overall fitness goals. That makes it crucial to emphasize supplements as much as every other aspects of your program to mazimize your results.

THE 9 MAIN SUPPLEMENTS FOR YOUR 12-WEEK LEAN MUSCLE PROGRAM FOR MEN AND WOMEN

On this transformation Trainer series, I’m recommending that you schedule 9 supplements into your daily schedule. You’ll take all of these on your weight-training days. Throughout the program, I’ll provide you with tips and suggestions for other supplements that may provide additional advantages based on your unique circumstances.

These 9 supplements are those that I’m recommending to all. Remember that I’ve built this program for an average 180-pound man or 140-pound woman. It’s best to follow it strictly, but be smart about making adjustments to fit your starting fitness level.

I’m going to begin with the 3 supplements that make up your pre-intra-post workout stack. The shorthand for this is your“PIP” stack. If you are not familiar with that term, it simply addresses the fact that supplements and nutrition are crucial before, during and after workouts. And these Kaged Muscle products were formulated to work in concert to provide optimal doses of all ingredients when you take them at the proper times.

PRE-KAGED®

This product supports heightened mental focus and provides your body with ingredients that help stimulate better performance. With the help of PRE-KAGED, you’ll feel laser-focused, pushing to lift more weight than ever before, getting more reps, and remaining focused for the duration of your workout. DOSE & TIMING:You should get in 1 scoop of this pre-workout product about 45 minutes before each weight-training workout for optimal results.

IN-KAGED®

This product is designed to be taken during your workouts. It helps prolong your energy, support ATP regeneration, and buffer lactic acid buildup to ensure you finish your workout as strong as you began. It does so with the quality ingredients it contains, including fermented BCAAS (leucine, isoleucine, and valine), pure L-Citrulline, patented CarnoSyn® (beta-alanine), and coconut water, among others.

DOSE & TIMING: IN-KAGED was formulated to complement PRE-KAGED as part of your PIP stack. Take one scoop of IN-KAGED mixed in water, sipping at it throughout your workout.

RE-KAGED®

After workouts you need to get in supplements and nutrition to support recovery and muscle growth. RE-KAGED contains 28 grams of fast-digesting whey protein isolate and ProHydrolase®, a digestive enzyme matrix that supports faster breakdown of protein molecules for even better absorption. MICROPURE® WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE

This is my go-to protein at times of day when I want to get protein into my system quickly or don’t have time for a full meal. This product provides a high-quality, fast-digesting source of protein along with the digestive enzyme ProHydrolase®. The high-quality whey protein isolate gets into your system quickly, enhanced by the inclusion of these digestive enzymes. Every scoop of MICROPURE WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE delivers 25g of protein for only 130 calories.

DOSE & TIMING:You can take in multiple servings of MICROPURE WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE per day when you’re following my 12-Week Lean Muscle Program. I recommend that you get in 1 scoop as soon as you complete your morning cardio. You can also get in a serving about 90 minutes before workouts in addition to PRE-KAGED (taken 45 minutes before workouts). Keep in mind that this protein product is great to take with you for times when you can’t get in a whole food meal, but you need to get in protein quickly.

 

KASEIN

This product delivers casein, the slow-digesting fraction of milk protein. I like to get in a serving as my final nutrition before bed. You can consume Kasein as a shake or mix it as a pudding, which I prefer because it tastes like a treat. Kasein provides a sustained-release of amino acids, helping to prevent your muscle mass from being catabolized (broken down) while you’re sleeping. Our bodies naturally go into a period of muscle breakdown when we go several hours without eating, and getting in Kasein before bedtime helps combat catabolism.

DOSE & TIMING:Get in 1 serving before bedtime to stave off catabolism while you’re sleeping.

CLEAN BURN®
This product contains potent ingredients that help support weight loss. These include green tea extract, Gymnema sylvestre extract, capsicum fruit and chromium complex, all of which can help you accelerate your results on my 12-Week Lean Muscle Program. This product works through multiple mechanisms to support weight loss. These include mobilizing fat from storage and increasing thermogenesis.

DOSE & TIMING:For best results, get in 3 doses (2 capsules per dose) 30 minutes before whole-food meals. You can start slowly with CLEAN BURN, taking in 1 dose for the first day or two, then adding a dose after that. Work up to taking 3 doses per day before meals to boost results while following my 12-Week Lean Muscle Program.

HYDRA-CHARGE®

This product helps you stay hydrated, volumize your muscle cells, and improve exercise performance. Adding HYDRA-CHARGE to your water every day also adds flavor, encouraging you to drink more fluid. It provides essential electrolytes and antioxidants, which supports general health. It can also act as a flavoring system that other amino acids are added to. I like to mix it in my gallon jug to sip through the day.

DOSE & TIMING:I recommend you get in about 3 servings of HYDRA-CHARGE each day. The best way to do this is to mix up a large jug of water and add 2-3 scoops of HYDRA-CHARGE and sip on it throughout the day. I’ve listed times when you should emphasize consumption of fluids and HYDRA-CHARGE in the charts that follow.

GLUTAMINE
Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid in the human body, and it can be synthesized from other amino acids. When your body has a greater need for glutamine, such as when you’re on an intense training program, it may break down muscle tissue for this purpose. Supplementing fermented GLUTAMINE helps prevent this. In addition, supplementing with glutamine helps restore glutamine levels after training and supports muscle recovery.

DOSE & TIMING:Get in 3 servings of fermented GLUTAMINE each day while following my 12-Week Lean Muscle Program. Good times to take this product are upon rising, before workouts, after workouts, and before bedtime. I personally have my clients put all servings in their gallon jug and sip it throughout the day.

BCAAs
Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) include leucine, isoleucine and valine. Because your body cannot make BCAAs, you need to get them from your food and supplements, and you have a much greater demand for them when you’re training with intensity. Kaged Muscle’s fermented BCAAS are delivered in the sought after 2:1:1 ratio.

DOSE & TIMING: For best results, take in fermented BCAAS 3 times a day, emphasizing first thing upon rising, before workouts, and during workouts. I also like to mix this in my gallon jug with other amino acids such as glutamine, citrulline (on non-training days) and HYDRA-CHARGE. Choose the option that works best for you.
